Objectives
We have ambitious
objectives for Manantiales Project in the following areas:
Project Milestones
- In early 2003, it was accomplished our first onsite reconnaissance
campaign for collecting relevant data and information.
A major survey on the antecedents (historical, political,
geographical, geological, climatological, etc.) of the
Manantiales area was also conducted.
- The architectonic design was partly developed in a cooperation framework
with the Lehrstuhl von Baukonstruktion und Nachaltige
Architektur (Univ.-Prof. Vladimir Nikolic) Architektur
Fakultät, RWTH Aachen, Germany.
- In December 2004, main aspects of the project materialization were
considered concluded for making it publicly available.
- Legal procedures for protecting intellectual properties were completed.
- The project was awarded with the ASADES 2005 prize by the Argentinean
Society for Renewable Energy and Environment.
- In April 2005, the project was successfully presented to the State
Government of San Juan raising much interest and support.
- The project has been presented to officials of local financing institutions
for regional development (CFI) in 2006.
- Patents
on proprietary technological solutions specifically developed
for the Manantiales Ski Project has been applied for.

Description
The integral
development of a world-class Ski Resort in Manantiales entails
a broad multidisciplinary approach ranging from strategic
planning under uncertainty, capital budgeting to more technical
fields such as architectural design and many engineering disciplines
(civil, hidraulic, mechanical, electrical, automation, telecomunication,
financial, environmental). The main aspects of our integrated
approach to the Manantiales Project are described bellow:
